Summer 2025 DTBC Member Updates: Networking, Awards & Sponsorships

Good Morning DTBC Members!

This update contains important information on networking opportunities, award submission deadlines, and sponsorship reminders.

Networking Opportunities

Terrorism and Social Media Conference (TASM): Thank you to all who were able to attend the Terrorism and Social Media Conference (TASM) at Swansea University in June. We hope you had the opportunity to connect with Dr. Stuart Macdonald and other colleagues during the conference. Looking ahead, the European Society of Criminology (ESC) Annual Meeting is coming up in Warsaw, Poland, September 9–12. If you plan to attend, please reach out to division leadership so we can facilitate informal connections — coffee chats, meetups, and other opportunities to network with our European partners. Dr. Elanie Rodermond, whose work focuses on women’s pathways into and out of extremism and who serves as the division’s key connection at ESC, will be attending. We encourage members going to Warsaw to reach out in advance.
